About Us

The King City Early Education Center provides a high quality preschool experience in a safe, nurturing environment that promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development in children. California State Preschool Program (CSPP) is an age and developmentally appropriate program designed to facilitate the transition to kindergarten for three (3) and (4) year old children in educational development, health services, social services, nutritional services, parent education and parent participation.

We believe that young children learn through play and therefore the learning activities in the King City Early Education Center State Preschool are developmentally appropriate. Our practices in the four main development domains help children gain confidence, learn to trust and socialize with others, experiment with their environment and prepare children for kindergarten.

Our morning preschool program offers two classes, both running from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We maintain a low teacher-to-child ratio of 1:8, ensuring each child receives personalized attention and support in a nurturing environment.

Our calendar year follows the King City Union School District's academic calendar.

Our Curriculum

We proudly implement the Frog Street Curriculum, a comprehensive, research-based program designed to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. This curriculum focuses on key developmental areas, including language, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional skills, all through engaging and hands-on activities.

Why We Chose Frog Street

We chose Frog Street because it aligns with our belief that children learn best through play and exploration. The curriculum provides a balanced approach that supports children's natural curiosity and helps them develop the skills they'll need to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
